Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations (CRER)

The Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations (CRER) based at the University of Warwick is the major academic body in the UK for the research and teaching of aspects of race, migration and ethnic relations.
CRER is at the forefront of research into the experience of people from minority ethnic groups in the UK and Western Europe. Its constantly expanding research agenda includes a focus on the processes of racial discrimination, issues of citizenship, political participation, cultural identity, refugees, ethnic mobilisation and nationalism.
Considerable emphasis is placed on the dissemination of research findings, both to the academic community and the wider world. Through its teaching, training, conferences, seminars, workshops and publications, CRER aims to promote a better knowledge and understanding of the processes which impact upon ethnic minorities.
The Centre is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities and social justice, and to challenging all forms of racism and discrimination.
